LG Versa (Verizon Wireless)

Pro: The LG Versa is an attractive touch-screen handset with an animated user interface, plus it has options for additional modules. The Versa also has a full HTML browser with Flash Lite support, EV-DO, GPS, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and a music player. It comes with a QWERTY keyboard module, which doubles as a case.

Con: The LG Versa suffers from a poor Web-browsing experience, and the screen can be sometimes unresponsive in certain applications. There is no Wi-Fi, and Visual Voice Mail has a monthly cost.

Conclusion: If you can live with the clunky Web browser, the LG Versa is a very good touch-screen phone with the added versatility of optional modules.

HTC Touch Diamond (Sprint)

Pro: The HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint offers better performance and supports Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A network and multimedia services. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also features the cool TouchFlo interface and has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Con: While performance is greatly improved over the unlocked Touch Diamond, there's still some sluggishness. The virtual keyboard is cramped and may give some users problems. The Touch Diamond also doesn't offer an expansion slot.

Conclusion: The HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint brings some nice additions and improvements over the unlocked GSM version--most notably to performance. It's best suited for first-time smartphone buyers or light users, while business customers should wait for the Touch Pro.

Dell Studio Desktop Computer (Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, 750GB HDD, 6GB)

Pro:
Best performance in its class; dedicated graphics card; large hard drive.

Con:
No need to spend $800 for a basic day-to-day desktop.

Conclusion:
This off-the-shelf version of the Dell Studio Desktop reminds us of a classic Dell computer. This system is faster and better equipped than its competition, and at a better price. You can certainly get away with a cheaper everyday PC, but this one is a bargain among lower midrange desktops.

Sony Vaio JS190J (silver)

Pro:
Best deal on an all-in-one with a Blu-ray drive; best-in-class performance for its price; relatively free of software clutter.

Con:
Its 20-inch screen is smaller than some of its competition; some redundant bundled applications; cheap mouse.

Conclusion:
By virtue of its price, its desktop processor, and its Blu-ray drive, the Sony Vaio JS190J makes a case for itself as the new king of the all-in-ones. Its screen might be a bit smaller than some, but no other all-in-one, including Apple's iMac, can do as much, as fast, for the same price.

Apple iPod Touch (second generation, 8GB)

Pro:
The second generation Ipod Touch has it all: music, videos, photos, podcasts, e-mail, web browsing, internet radio, games, music downloads, and an App Store for adding thousands of custom features.

Con:
The second-generation iPod Touch may be overwhelming to users looking for a simple music player; audio quality is average; and iTunes software is required.

Conclusion:
The second-generation iPod Touch includes features that are light-years ahead of the competition, its design has improved, and its price has finally come down to earth.

Microsoft Zune 120GB (third generation, glossy black)

Pro:
The 120gb of the Microsoft Zune has expanded the usefulness of all the special features of the Zune, such as Wi-Fi, sharing music, and others. The 3.2 inch screen is great for movies, and the friendly interface is easy-to-use.

Con:
The battery life isnt great, the plastic 3.2 inch screen can easily be scratched, and using many of the new features without a Zune Pass music subscription can be disappointing.

Conclusion:
The 120gb Microsoft Zune is a fierce competition against the Ipod Classic with its new features, the large capacity is an ideal solution for music fans with big appetites on music.

Gateway FX P-7805u

Pro:
Good gaming scores, the graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 9800) provides high quality graphics for gaming, not too pricy for a gaming laptop

Con:
Screen resolution is not great, lacks a few basic features, such as Bluetooth.

Conclusion:
A very good gaming laptop for its price. However, because of the screen resolution (has minor problems) the graphics seem more of a sub-HD quality, even with the Nvidia GeForce 9800 graphics card.

Flip Video MinoHD

Pro:

Ultraslim yet functional design, one-touch video uploading to YouTube, AOL, and MySpace; Solid 720p vide

Somewhat expensive; battery ins't removable or replaceable, can't output HD to HDTVs.

Although it does have a little flaws and is somewhat pricy, the Flip Video MinoHD provides impressive video quality for a camcorder of it's size.

Canon Vixia HF S100

Pro:

Good video quality; battery charging is quick; easy-to-use interface

Con:

No eye-level viewfinder; too pricy

An excellent HD camcorder, however you may want to pass on this product because it does not have an eye-leve viewfinder and is more expensive then the identical to the the 32gb bulit in memory.
